We are a medium sized charity based in Huddersfield, West Yorkshire serving communities locally, regionally and through its lobbying work in a national capacity.
The Centre provides practical services aimed at improving the lives of children, young adults and families most in need as well as working to influence national policy and delivery of services for children.

Through our projects we aim to provide help, advice and support to those that need it, whilst working to develop realistic solutions and positive approaches to childhood and parental challenges. We cover a variety of topics from accident and injury prevention to parental support.

Domestic Violence Perpetrator Programme
DVPPs are designed for use in some types of cases where Domestic Violence has been identified as a concern related to a Family Proceedings case. DVPP is a group programme for men to develop their skills and understanding, enabling them to:
• Improve their relationship with their ex-partner and where relevant, their current partner
• Ensure, as far as is possible, their use of violence and abusive behaviour towards a partner is not repeated
• Develop safe, positive parenting
• Increase their awareness of themselves and the effect of the domestic violence on their ex- partner and children
• Resolve conflicts in intimate relationships non-abusively
