The Australian Department of Immigration and Citizenship contributes to building Australia’s future through the well-managed movement and settlement of people. The department processes visa applications for people visiting or migrating to Australia. There are a number of visa options available for people with skills and qualifications who want to migrate to Australia either temporarily or permanently. Priority is given to applicants who are either sponsored by an employer or a state or territory government to fill a vacancy in the Australian labour market, or who have skills in demand.

The department is hosting a targeted information and networking session dedicated to healthcare professionals. Skilled workers will have the chance to hear from the department about skilled visa options for Australia and meet with Australian employers and state and territory governments to discuss employment and sponsorship opportunities.
